New Firefox 3.1 beta released: final to be Firefox 3.5

The availability of the third beta release of Firefox 3.1 has been announced by Mozilla. The beta fixes many bugs, and brings the browser just a little closer to its final release. This release comes only a week prior to the final release of Microsoft’s IE8.
Late last year, Firefox 3.1 was planned to be an incremental update release, but the Mozilla Foundation has now moved the version number from 3.1 to 3.5 in recognition of the significant feature set improvement. Firefox "3.5" delivers a plethora of notable improvements which are now included in the code base currently being used for the 3.1 beta builds. New Firefox 3.1 beta released: final to be Firefox 3.5
