Next Firefox Release To Include Anti-Phishing Tool
0 Comments Published June 1st, 2006 in All Categories, Firefox, Phishing, Security
One of the more exciting features being touted in Mozilla’s upcoming Firefox 2.0 "Bon
Echo" browser is the anti-phishing tool that will be implemented, courtesy of Google.
Still in its third alpha stage (a development stage intended only for developers to tweak and improve), the next Firefox will add Google Safe Browsing, which is licensed under Mozilla Public License, the GPL 2.0, and the LGLP.
Deepening the relationship between Google and Mozilla (Google gives loads of cash to the organization and employs some top Mozilla developers), the Safe Browsing feature will also be built into the Google Toolbar, available to both Firefox and Internet Explorer.
